Cookie Policy
Last updated: 9 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies SitePronto uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and follows UK GDPR, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and current ICO guidance.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies like browser localStorage to remember your cookie preferences. Throughout this policy we refer to all of these as “cookies”.
How we ask for consent
The first time you visit SitePronto you'll see a cookie banner. You can:
- Accept all — turn on every category.
- Reject all — only strictly necessary cookies are used.
- Manage preferences — choose per category.
Your choice is stored locally for 6 months. You can change it any time from the link in our footer, or by clearing your browser data. We do not use pre-ticked boxes, and Reject All is exactly as easy to use as Accept All.
Categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into four categories. Strictly necessary cookies are always on. The other three are off by default and only run if you opt in.
Required for the site to function: navigation, form submission, secure pages, remembering your cookie choices.
Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Aggregated data only.
Measure ad campaigns, build audiences and show more relevant ads on other sites. Off unless you opt in.
Enable optional integrations and remember preferences like your last-used industry filter.
The cookies we may use
The list below covers cookies that may be set when you use SitePronto, who sets them, what they're for, how long they last and whether they're first-party or third-party. Marketing and analytics cookies only appear after you opt in.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
sp_consent | SitePronto (localStorage) | Stores your cookie preferences so we don't have to ask on every page. | Strictly necessary | 6 months | First-party |
_GRECAPTCHA | Google (when used on contact forms) | Spam protection. Only set if a reCAPTCHA challenge is shown on a form. | Strictly necessary | 6 months | Third-party |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes unique visitors and measures site usage. Aggregated only, never used to identify you personally. | Analytics | Up to 2 years | Third-party |
_gid | Google Analytics | Distinguishes users within a 24-hour window. | Analytics | 24 hours | Third-party |
_gcl_au | Google Ads / Floodlight | Used by Google's conversion linker so a conversion can be attributed to the ad that drove the visit. | Marketing | 90 days | Third-party |
_fbp | Meta (Facebook) Pixel | Used to deliver and measure Meta ad campaigns and to build remarketing audiences. | Marketing | 90 days | Third-party |
_fbc | Meta (Facebook) Pixel | Stores the last-click attribution parameter from a Meta ad so a later conversion can be attributed. | Marketing | 90 days | Third-party |
Google Consent Mode v2
We use Google Consent Mode v2. Before you make a choice, every consent signal is set to “denied” (except security_storage). Google's tags can still load but they do not set advertising or analytics cookies until you grant the relevant category. Your choice updates the consent signals in real time.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties (Google, Meta) when their tags are loaded. We don't control how those vendors process the data once it reaches them. Each vendor has its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics & Google Ads: policies.google.com/privacy
- Meta: facebook.com/privacy/policy
Withdrawing or changing consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time:
- Click in the footer to reopen the preferences panel.
- Clear your browser's site data for sitepronto.co. We'll ask for fresh consent on your next visit.
- Use your browser's privacy controls to block cookies entirely.
How long we keep your consent record
Your consent is stored for 6 months. After that, we ask again. The record is stored in your browser only; we don't have a server-side copy of who agreed to what.
